Legendary Knight Run has you running through a series of highly detailed environments from ancient times and fairytale locations. The story is cute, the cut-scenes are well developed, and it all comes together to create an organically atmospheric blend that enhances your user experience. The game has its flaws, but in terms of developer effort and skill, they clearly gave it their all.

Programmers will appreciate how much work went into the graphics

The graphics are actually very well done in Legendary Knight Run. They look at first glance as if they were rendered for something like the Nintendo 64, and they have the isometric feel of the Wii games, but the graphics are actually wonderfully textured and artistic. It looks as if the developers have used 3D animation software to create the models and environments, and have then placed the models into a traditional game framework. In the long run, it will have saved the developers a lot of time and money, but in the short term they will have had to do epic amounts of work to get the graphics up to the quality that they are. The graphics are better than what the animated movie “Hoodwinked 2” had to offer, and that movie had millions for a budget.

The game looks good and feels great, but it has its flaws

Legendary Knight Run has a maybe-it-is and maybe-it-isn’t flaw in that the user interface makes your character difficult to control. The developers decided to make the game more challenging by making the controls more complex and difficult to handle. For some people, mastering the skills required to complete the game will turn this running game into weeks worth of fun. Other gamers, such as those looking for some quick action, may become frustrated with the controls and the complexity of the game. This is not as easy or simple as Temple Run, and some people may not appreciate that fact.
